Standing Together for Kenya’s Youth

The East Africa Youth Parliament, led by our Secretary General Hon. Mugwe Kevin, had the honour of joining national leaders, policymakers, dignitaries, and youth representatives for a meaningful and unifying moment at the National Youth Prayer Day, held at the IYF Grounds in Nairobi. The event was graced by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Youth Affairs and the Creative Economy, Fikirini Jacobs, and the UN in Kenya Resident Coordinator, Dr. Stephen Jackson, underscoring its significance and national importance.

This historic gathering brought together youth leaders from across the country—marking a powerful moment of collective commitment to Kenya’s future. It was more than an event of prayer; it was a renewed pledge to walk in unity, purpose, and responsibility as we build a better nation for generations to come.

As part of National Youth Week 2025, the day invited young people to reflect deeply on the role they play in shaping Kenya’s social, economic, and political landscape. Through prayer, dialogue, and heartfelt engagements, participants explored critical themes including mindset transformation, mental wellness, leadership, and the shared duty we all carry in advancing national development.
